A TV series centered on the Batman villain Poison Ivy is in the works at HBO, Deadline reports. Lauren LeFranc, showrunner and executive producer of The Penguin, is in talks to produce the show, which comes from Warner Bros. and DC Comics.
According to Deadline, the series is separate from Matt Reeves’ Batman Universe and had been on hold for months due to the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger. No casting decisions have been made as of yet, and no writers are attached to the project.
Poison Ivy’s Recent Appearances
In recent years, Poison Ivy has become best known from the HBO Max series Harley Quinn, in which Lake Bell voices the character. In 1997, Uma Thurman played Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin.
The upcoming Poison Ivy series is still in its early stages, and no further details have been announced. However, with Lauren LeFranc on board, the project is likely to generate significant interest among fans of the DC Comics universe. As more information becomes available, it will be interesting to see how the series develops and whether it will feature any connections to other Batman-related projects.
