Sons of Anarchy Cast Reunites in Charlie Hunnam FX Series

The Sons of Anarchy cast is reuniting for a new FX/Hulu limited series — but it’s not a revival. Instead, the “meta-thriller” Legends, created by, written by, and starring original series star Charlie Hunnam, offers up what sounds like a pretty wild take on the original show, created by Kurt Sutter. According to the official description, “When the cast of Sons of Anarchy reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade, the line between life and art blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show.

“Playing themselves in this real-world adventure, Hunnam will star with Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Theo Rossi with additional cast to be announced.”

Development and Production

Legends was developed with Jonathan Groff (Mindhunter, Glee), who also executive produces, and another executive producer is Rob Mac of It’s Always Sunny fame.

Cast and Crew

Hunnam recently received an Emmy nomination for his work on Monster: The Ed Gein Story. The complete Sons of Anarchy series is available now on DVD and Blu-ray.

The new limited series Legends promises to be an exciting and unique take on the original Sons of Anarchy show. With the original cast reprising their roles and playing themselves in a real-world adventure, it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds. The fact that it’s not a traditional revival, but rather a meta-thriller, adds an extra layer of complexity to the project. With Charlie Hunnam at the helm, both in front of and behind the camera, Legends is shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of the original series and newcomers alike.
