Sebastian Stan to Play Harvey Dent in The Batman Sequel

Sebastian Stan has officially confirmed he will play Harvey Dent in The Batman: Part II. In an interview with the French outlet Le Journal du Dimanche, the actor briefly spoke about his DC Universe debut when asked whether he had anything to share about Avengers: Doomsday.

“Honestly, I have absolutely no idea. Because we didn’t have a script. We were just shooting scattered scenes [for Doomsday],” Stan explained. “The producers didn’t want us to read it in its entirety, to avoid journalists asking us questions. I’ve been following this rule for fifteen years, I’m used to it. I also can’t say anything about The Batman: Part II, by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent.”

Cast and Crew

Harvey Dent is Gotham’s district attorney, who becomes the villain Two-Face after an accident disfigures him. Besides Stan, new additions to the DCU include Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, and Brian Tyree Henry in unconfirmed roles.

Production and Release

Director Matt Reeves’ sequel, co-written with Mattson Tomlin, will feature the returning Robert Pattinson as Batman, with Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Jeffrey Wright (James Gordon), and Colin Farrell (The Penguin) also reprising their roles. The film will swoop into theaters on February 18th, 2028.

Before then, Stan will reprise his longtime role as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in Avengers: Doomsday, which premieres in theaters on December 18th.

In conclusion, Sebastian Stan is set to make his DC Universe debut as Harvey Dent in The Batman: Part II, while also reprising his role in Avengers: Doomsday. With a talented cast and crew, including Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson, these upcoming films are highly anticipated by fans of the DC Universe and Marvel Cinematic Universe alike.
