L'AGENCE Finally Decides to Make Clothes That Won't Get You Kicked Out of the Country Club for Looking Like a Total Slob On the Tennis Court

Oh boy, are you ready for some over-the-top, ridiculously expensive, and totally-not-needed tennis fashion? 🎾💅 Because L’AGENCE, the ready-to-wear line that’s apparently a favorite among celebs like Kelly Clarkson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sydney Sweeney, Ashley Benson, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid (because, of course, they need another excuse to dress up 🙄), is bringing its signature “Parisian chic-meets-California cool” style to the tennis court. And by “signature style,” I mean “outrageously priced clothing that only a handful of people can afford.” 💸

So, to celebrate the launch of this totally necessary (said no one ever) tennis collection, the brand’s fashion director, Tara Rudes Dann, gathered a bunch of fashion stylists, makeup artists, models, and tennis pro Anne White for an intimate evening at founder Jeff Rudes’ Beverly Hills estate. Because, you know, the only way to properly launch a tennis fashion line is with a fancy-schmancy party 🎉. And by “intimate evening,” I mean a bunch of rich people getting together to drink expensive cocktails and show off their fancy clothes 🍸.

The guests sipped on specialty cocktails (which I’m sure were totally not overpriced 🍹) and showed off pieces from the new collection, including polo tops, bralettes, tennis tanks, skorts, dresses, and more. Because, you know, the most important thing about playing tennis is looking good while doing it 🏋️‍♀️. I mean, who needs actual tennis skills when you can just wear a fancy outfit and call it a day? 🙄

Then, the group headed onto the court to “get served” dinner (get it? served? like tennis? 🎾😂). And by “dinner,” I mean a bunch of fancy-schmancy food that only rich people can afford 🍴. They had bread and salted butter, veggies with a green dip, and caviar with crème fraîche, chips, and blinis. Because, you know, the only way to properly eat dinner is with a side of caviar and a sprinkle of edible gold dust 💃.

Before the main course arrived, Rudes Dann raised a glass to L’AGENCE’s latest expansion and invited everyone around the table to introduce themselves and share what inspires them. I’m sure it was a totally not-awkward or forced conversation at all 🙄. I mean, who doesn’t love talking about their “inspirations” while eating a fancy dinner with a bunch of strangers? 🤷‍♀️

The main course arrived, and it was (you guessed it) more fancy food 🍴. Fried fish and potatoes and risotto, because apparently, that’s what tennis players eat 🏋️‍♀️. And then, to top it all off, they had tennis ball-shaped cakes and strawberries and cream for dessert. Because, you know, the only way to properly end a meal is with a cake shaped like a tennis ball 🎂. Talk about a grand slam (of pretentiousness) 🎾!

And the best part? You can buy this totally unnecessary and overpriced tennis fashion at L’AGENCE stores and online at lagence.com 🛍️. Because, you know, everyone needs a $500 tennis dress in their life 🙄. I mean, who needs actual tennis skills when you can just buy a fancy outfit and call yourself a tennis player? 🎾💁‍♀️

So, if you’re feeling fancy and want to drop a few hundred bucks on some overpriced tennis clothes, be sure to check out L’AGENCE’s new collection 🎉. And don’t forget to pair it with a side of caviar and a sprinkle of edible gold dust, because, you know, that’s what tennis is all about 🎾💃. 💸👗🎾👏
