Goose Plays Final Song Before Cops Shut Down Colorado House Party

Goose played a surprise set at a house party at University of Colorado in Boulder on Wednesday night, serving as an unofficial kickoff show for their five upcoming Colorado concerts. The free house show was originally a college party set to be headlined by local band Sunkissd, who performed as scheduled; afterwards, however, Goose took the stage and treated attendees to a surprise seven-song set. They had more songs planned, but unfortunately, the Boulder Police Department had other ideas.

Surprise Set and Police Intervention

The Goose performance was cut short during their rendition of “Animal,” a song from their 2025 album Everything Must Go, when a police officer took the stage and stood rather helplessly next to the band. At one point, frontman Rick Mitarotonda waved his finger at the cop, as if to say, “One second, we’re almost done.” Apparently, what started as one cop became 10, and the show was effectively shut down shortly after.

Upcoming Concerts

Goose begin the first of their five Colorado shows Thursday, August 27th, at Red Rocks Amphitheater. They’ll play an additional show at Red Rocks on the 28th, followed by sets in Salt Lake City, Utah and Bellevue, Colorado. They’ll then head back to Red Rocks for a show on September 1st, with a performance in Dillon, Colorado coming the next day.

New Album and Tour

Goose shared their new album BIG MODERN! earlier this year; the band discussed the album’s musical direction, their career trajectory, and their thoughts on Geese in a recent interview. Fans can get tickets to see Goose in a more traditional venue than a college house party here.

In conclusion, Goose is set to embark on a series of Colorado concerts, following their surprise set at a house party in Boulder. With their new album BIG MODERN! and a string of upcoming shows, Goose is sure to bring their unique sound to fans across the state. Be sure to check out their tour dates and get tickets to see them live in a traditional venue setting.
