Breaking Benjamin Singer Stops Show to Slam Fallout 4 Modder Feud

Breaking Benjamin Singer Stops Show to Slam Fallout 4 Modder Feud

Breaking Benjamin frontman Benjamin Burnley paused his band’s September 6th performance in Holmdel, New Jersey, to rant about his feud with a fellow Fallout 4 modder, as well as his own upcoming 1.2 update to his first-person mod. The singer-guitarist described himself in the rant as “an amateur modder” for games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 under the name “killemloud.”

Burnley seemed self-aware of the niche nature of his rant, occasionally interspersing his comments with acknowledgements that “most of you aren’t going to know what the fuck I’m talking about.” He began his speech by talking about his mod, saying “I just made a mod that makes it so that when you’re in first-person, you stay in first-person. You see your body in first-person. You go to your workshop area in first-person, and third-person still works. So, I want you to go and download that f**kin’ mod.”

The Feud with a Fellow Modder

He continued, “More importantly, I wanna tell you why I’m doing this. There was a modder — so, there’s like a clique, there was a modder in the community that was really mean to me and bullying me and saying, ‘Oh, you mod is shit, you don’t know what you’re f**kin’ doing, so I’m doing this every fucking night, and blowing his fucking downloads out of the water. Please help me destroy this fuckin’ jerk. I’m not even gonna say his name, but he’s a dick, and fuck him.”

At this point, the drummer for Breaking Benjamin began accenting Burnley’s speech with double bass runs. Burnley kept going, “Even if you don’t play that game, go download it. It’s on Nexus Mods. And tomorrow, I better see all those downloads going up. …This is for people who love mods. I’m uploading the update for it. You know, when you post a mod, you’re supposed to be able to grow and learn, and make it better. And right off the bat, this fuckin’ asshole was shittin’ on my mod, and he ain’t lettin’ me update it. So that’s what happened.”

Upcoming Tour and Modding Goals

The frontman then pledged to continue doing this at shows until he hit one million total downloads. Breaking Benjamin are currently in the midst of a North American tour with support from Chevelle, Starset and Kami Kehoe. The band’s fans can get tickets here.

In conclusion, Benjamin Burnley‘s rant about his Fallout 4 mod and feud with a fellow modder has brought attention to the Breaking Benjamin frontman’s hobby and passion for modding. As the band continues their North American tour, fans can expect more updates on Burnley’s modding progress and possibly even more rants about his experiences in the modding community. With his goal of reaching one million downloads, it will be interesting to see how Breaking Benjamin‘s fans respond to Burnley’s request to support his modding endeavors.
