Splash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have announced a new studio album titled Flying Blind, due February 26th via Gibson Records, along with unleashing the title track. The band has also revealed dates for a 2027 world tour, including a North American leg.
North American Tour Dates
The North American outing kicks off April 23rd in Reno, Nevada, and runs through a May 22nd gig in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along the way, Slash and company will hit such markets as Los Angeles, Denver, Boston, New York City, and Nashville.
Pre-Sale and General On-Sale
A pre-sale starts Tuesday, October 6th, via Ticketmaster, with a general on-sale beginning Friday, October 9th. The North American tour will be preceded by a South American run and followed by a UK/European outing.
New Single and Music Video
The band has released the title track as a single along with a stop-motion puppet music video. The song itself calls to mind William DuVall-era Alice in Chains, featuring a dark and serpentine bluesy feel. Slash stated, “Created in the studio while we were standing there in pre-production, a riff came to me and started developing. I had nothing of that song prior to those guys coming in, and then we started up a night of rehearsal and played that riff. It came together really quickly. As for it being the first single, you never know what the first single is going to be until you’ve recorded it. When I started thinking about it, ‘Flying Blind’ just seemed to have the right kind of melodic sensibilities and a hook to make it single material.”
Album Details
Myles Kennedy added, “I really enjoyed putting a melody to this song. The way the chord progression starts in the beginning had a nice flow to it. The lyric is about how sometimes people try to take shortcuts and try to find the easy way to achieve happiness or enlightenment.” The album Flying Blind will be available for pre-order, and the tracklist includes 12 songs: 01. Avarice and Greed, 02. Good Time Girl, 03. Thrill Seeker, 04. One of Your Kind, 05. Flying Blind, 06. Looking for a Miracle, 07. Sweet Kill, 08. Here in Babylon, 09. Living the Dream, 10. (Don’t) Thread the Needle, 11. Rev My Heart, 12. Stem the Flow.
