Guns N’ Roses will be taking a break from touring in 2027, according to guitarist Slash. In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk,” Slash discussed the band’s recent shows and revealed their plans for the upcoming year. He expressed his enthusiasm for the band’s recent performances, stating that their last US run was the best they’ve done since the tour started, and that the European run was equally successful.
Slash also talked about the band’s plans following their South Asia and Australian dates in December, stating that Guns N’ Roses will be off in 2027. However, he hopes that this break will give them the opportunity to work on new music, as they have a significant amount of material that needs to be sorted and worked on.
New Music on the Horizon
Slash mentioned that the band has a lot of unreleased material, and that they have been reworking demos of songs from the post-Chinese Democracy era. He explained that they have been redoing the bass and guitars for certain songs, and that Duff McKagan has been involved in the process. Slash specifically mentioned that they have worked on songs like Hard Skool, Absurd, Nothin’, and Atlas.
Slash also discussed his other band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, which will be embarking on a world tour in support of their upcoming album, Flying Blind. The album is set to be released on February 26th, and tickets for the tour are already available.
A Busy Year Ahead
Despite Guns N’ Roses taking a break from touring, Slash will still be busy in 2027 with his other band. The Flying Blind tour will take them to various locations around the world, and fans can expect to hear new music from the album. Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses fans can hold out hope that the band will use their break to work on new music, potentially leading to a new album in the future.
In conclusion, Guns N’ Roses will be taking a well-deserved break from touring in 2027, but fans can still expect to see Slash performing with his other band. With new music on the horizon and a world tour scheduled, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will be keeping Slash busy in the upcoming year. As for Guns N’ Roses, only time will tell what the future holds, but for now, fans can look forward to the possibility of new music and future tours.
