American Football have expanded their upcoming Latin American tour with new shows in Buenos Aires and São Paulo. The additions bring American Football’s Latin American run to five stops. The band was previously confirmed to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX in Mexico City, Fauna Primavera in Santiago, Chile, and Veltrac Music Festival in Lima, Peru.
Tour Details
The band will perform at C Art Media in Buenos Aires on December 2nd, marking their first show in Argentina since making their debut in the country in 2023. They will also play at Audio Club in São Paulo on November 30th.
Supporting Their Latest Album
The tour comes in support of their fourth studio album, LP4, released earlier this year. The record features guest appearances from Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates, Wisp, and Caithlin De Marrais, and incorporates elements of post-hardcore, math rock, jazz, and shoegaze into the band’s established sound.
Band History
American Football first emerged with their self-titled 1999 debut, which became a touchstone of Midwest emo in the years following the band’s initial breakup in 2000. They reunited in 2014 and have since released three additional studio albums.
The band has announced that all shows are on sale now, and fans can save $20 on their first order of $200 or more with promo code CONSEQUENCE20 at checkout. American Football has also shared their excitement about the tour on social media, stating that they are happy to announce the added shows to their South American run later this year.
