Noodles of The Offspring says he is stepping away from live performances for the immediate future “to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue.” The guitarist posted a statement on the band’s social media pages, writing the following: “It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue. The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it. – Noodles”
Upcoming Shows
The Offspring currently have a handful of upcoming shows, including a gig this Saturday, October 24th, at the Rock 2 Freedom benefit at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Also on their schedule is a November 6th date at SEMA Fest in Las Vegas; a November 21st set at Corona Capital fest in Mexico City; and a January 16th appearance at iHeartRadio’s ALTer Ego 2027 concert.
Band History
Noodles has been a member of The Offspring since 1985, and has appeared on every one of the band’s studio albums, including their most recent effort, 2024’s SUPERCHARGED.
Recent Performance
Before announcing he was stepping away from touring, Noodles’ most recent show with The Offspring was this past Sunday, October 18th, at Mission Bayfest in San Diego.
Our best wishes go out to Noodles as he battles this serious health issue. The news of his departure from live performances has been met with an outpouring of support from fans, who are wishing him a speedy recovery and hoping for his return to the stage soon. With a career spanning over three decades, Noodles has become an integral part of The Offspring, and his absence will be deeply felt by the band and their fans. As The Offspring continues to perform without Noodles, fans can expect the same high-energy shows they have come to expect from the band, with the rest of the members stepping up to fill the void left by Noodles’ temporary departure.
