The Shins opened with “Simple Song,” continuing with “Australia,” and Chutes Too Narrow‘s “Gone for Good.” They rounded things out with staples like “Heartworms,” “Caring Is Creepy,” and “New Slang,” closing the set with “Sleeping Lessons.” Then came the main event: Weezer took the stage around 9:20 p.m., performing on a set that was fashioned as a cozy backyard; they had a campfire, plants around the stage, a picnic bench, string lights, an actual house, and more homey props and set pieces.
