Sheryl Crow has announced her new album, Pick You Up, and released the single “Freedom Bus” featuring Jesse Welles. Pick You Up is due out October 9th on Old Green Barn Productions. The record’s seven songs were written by Crow and her long-time collaborator Jeff Trott. The album “delves into personal reflection,” a press release said, while Crow returns to the rock Americana singer-songwriter sound “that made so many people fall in love” with her in ’90s. On the album, she explores themes of hope and unity, and showcases the “honest songwriting and authenticity” that have shaped her career. Fans can pre-order the Pick You Up here.
Album Details
Pick You Up is Crow’s latest studio album, following her 2024 release Evolution. The new album features seven tracks, including the single “Freedom Bus” with Jesse Welles. The song starts with the lines “I guess today is Judgement Day/ Since everybody’s got something to say.” Welles adds harmonies on the chorus, chiming in on “Whoever said freedom was free/ There ain’t a freedom without history/ And folks who died for you and me/ So don’t be an asshole, let every one be.”
