Yungblud busted up his leg in a dirt-bike accident at the recent Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, but isn’t letting the injury stop him from touring, thanks in part to his friend Jack Daniel’s.
The UK singer was seen riding around on a dirt bike in Sturgis prior to his gig at the annual rally on August 9th. That night he still played his show with a visible limp, mentioning during the gig that he hurt his leg, and saying he was performing despite doctor’s orders not to take the stage. Then, in true rock-star fashion, he grabbed a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey and took a huge swig to ease the pain.
Upcoming Shows
A few days later, he took to Instagram to post a photo of himself with crutches and his leg heavily bandaged while insisting he wouldn’t miss his upcoming shows in Portugal and Belgium: “Leg fucked. Still giggin. Still standin (sort of). Portugal and Belgium I’m comin and it’s gonna be fucking mad. See you next week. Let’s ride.”
The aforementioned shows take place at the Vilar de Mouros Festival in Portugal on Tuesday, August 18th, and the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium on Friday, August 21st. Beyond those appearances, Yungblud’s schedule was clear for the rest of the year, even before the injury.
