V for Vendetta Returns to Theaters This November via Fathom

The 2006 dystopian drama V for Vendetta will be returning to theaters in celebration of its 20th anniversary, with tickets now officially on sale. Thanks to Fathom, director James McTeigue’s adaptation of Alan Moore and David Lloyd’s seminal graphic novel, written for the screen by the Wachowskis, will be back on the big screen on November 1st and November 5th.

The movie stars Natalie Portman as Evey, a young woman who joins the masked vigilante V (Hugo Weaving) in revolting against the fascist government ruling England in the not-too-distant future. The cast also includes Stephen Rea, Stephen Fry, Tim Pigott-Smith, Rupert Graves, Roger Allam, Ben Miles, Sinéad Cusack, Imogen Poots, and Eddie Marsan.

Anniversary Celebration

“The award-winning V for Vendetta graphic novel led to one of the most provocative films in the early 2000s. Twenty years later, V for Vendetta still asks the questions that matter: about freedom, identity, and who gets to speak up. Fathom is thrilled to bring this great movie back to theatres, featuring an exclusive new conversation with director James McTeigue for a whole new generation of audiences,” Shannah Miller, Vice President of Marketing at Fathom Entertainment, said in a statement.

That exclusive new conversation is Freedom Forever, a new featurette which will accompany the movie’s theatrical release. There is also a new trailer celebrating the film’s anniversary.
