Brad Paisley Debuts New Song On South Park Season Premiere

Wednesday’s South Park (ahem, South America) Season 29 premiere, “South American Biker Gangs,” ended with a funeral, during which a country song played in the background. As it turns out, the track — titled “We Are South America” — was written and recorded by Brad Paisley. For those not in the know, Trey Parker and Matt Stone changed the show’s title to South America after President Donald Trump’s order to change the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

The song nods to the rebranding, while helping to tie up a storyline centered on a standoff between a children’s e-bike gang and Randy-led cycling traditionalists. It’s not a spoiler to say Kenny got killed in the process. The South Park theme was also retooled for the show’s name change, featuring new vocals from Primus frontman Les Claypool and a cameo from Donald Trump.
