Boston hardcore act Haywire have announced their sophomore album, I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye, due out October 2nd after inking a deal with Roadrunner Records. Ahead of its release, the band has unleashed lead single “Interstate Love Affair.”
Haywire are gearing up for a US tour starting September 9th that will see them supporting Turnstile and Circle Jerks on various dates, alongside a number of festival appearances.
Music and Tour
“Interstate Love Affair” is a melodic hardcore tune falling somewhere between Bad Religion and Fucked Up. The vocals sit on the rougher edge but follow a clean melodic line, with the band drawing from that magical Hüsker Dü line between hardcore and alternative rock. It’s absolutely ridden with hooks but doesn’t sacrifice the force of punk rock.
