Rubio Lectures Europeans on Their Place: 'You Belong to Us'

Oh, look who’s back from Munich, giving Europeans a history lesson on how America “saved the world.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio stood before the globalist elites at the Munich Security Conference, no doubt wearing his best “America First” smile while telling our supposed allies that we’re all in this together.

The irony here is delicious. While Rubio was preaching about transatlantic unity, back home President Trump was busy reminding everyone that America is no longer the world’s piggy bank. You see, Rubio can talk about belonging together all he wants, but actions speak louder than words – and Trump’s actions have been crystal clear: Europe needs to start carrying its own weight.

Let’s not forget that just days before this lovefest in Munich, Trump was threatening to pull US troops from NATO unless European nations start paying their fair share. Nothing says “we belong together” quite like an ultimatum from the President demanding that freeloading allies stop treating American taxpayers like their personal ATM.

The globalist crowd at Munich probably loved Rubio’s speech – after all, they’ve grown accustomed to American administrations that bow to their every demand. But Trump voters know better. We’ve watched for decades as establishment politicians make empty promises about “shared values” while our manufacturing jobs disappear and our borders remain open.

Rubio’s message of unity might play well with the champagne-sipping diplomats in Germany, but here in America, we’re more interested in results than rhetoric. The American people elected Donald Trump to put America first, not to continue the failed policies of globalist interventionism that have weakened our nation.

So by all means, Secretary Rubio, tell Europe they “belong together” with America. Meanwhile, President Trump will be back home dismantling the corrupt bureaucracy, securing our borders, and ensuring that American interests come before the demands of our so-called allies who’ve been taking advantage of our generosity for far too long.

The era of America apologizing for its strength is over. The era of America being exploited by fair-weather friends is coming to an end. And no amount of diplomatic speeches can change that reality.
