Trump Sports Suit Likely Cost More Than Your Rent

Trump Sports Suit Likely Cost More Than Your Rent

Folks, I almost spilled my coffee reading this one. So, it seems President Donald Trump was spotted wearing a suit with a tag from Jos. A. Bank, a relatively affordable brand, and the media is having a field day. I mean, who doesn’t love a good story about a billionaire wearing a suit that’s almost as expensive as my favorite coffee beans?

I’m reading through this article, and I have to say, it’s a bit of a stretch to make a big deal out of Trump’s suit. Any woman in politics would tell you that we shouldn’t be focusing on how a politician dresses. But, I suppose it’s interesting to note that Trump, a billionaire, is wearing a suit from a brand that’s not exactly high-end.

Apparently, the tags on Trump’s suit bear some resemblance to the Traveler collection of suit separates from Jos. A. Bank, which is currently on sale for $279. Not exactly the kind of suit you’d expect a billionaire to wear, especially one who’s known for his love of luxury brands. I mean, this is the guy who sells $100,000 watches with his name on it, right?

It’s also worth noting that Jos. A. Bank is part of a larger conglomerate, Tailored Brands, which also owns Men’s Wearhouse. And, it seems that Trump’s suit was likely made in China or Bangladesh, which might not be the best message for a president who’s all about America First. But, hey, who needs consistency when you’re a billionaire, right?

The article also mentions that Trump can afford any suit he wants, and that’s true. He’s a billionaire, after all. But, it’s possible that he’s trying to appear more relatable to the average American. Maybe he’s trying to show that he’s just like us, wearing affordable suits and all that. Or, maybe he just likes the way the suit looks. Who knows?

I did find it amusing that the article mentions Trump’s history of wearing luxury brands, like Brioni, and how he used to buy suits “off the rack.” I guess that’s what happens when you’re a billionaire – you can afford to buy whatever you want, whenever you want.

In the end, it’s just a suit, folks. But, hey, if it’s going to give us a glimpse into Trump’s personality or his values, then I’m all for it. And, who knows, maybe he’ll start a new trend – billionaire chic, anyone? As I finish my coffee, I have to say, this story has been a wild ride, but hey, at least it’s been entertaining.
