Jack Black will perform as “Jack Sabbath” with a young backing band consisting of the sons of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and Anthrax’s Scott Ian at Morello’s upcoming Power to the People festival taking place October 3rd at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
Tom Morello posted the news on his Instagram page, writing, “@powertothepeoplefest can’t wait for you to hear JACK SABBATH!! featuring @jackblack @romanmorello1 @revelyian @yoyoka_drums and Hugo Weiss.”
Guitarist Roman Morello, 15, and bassist Revel Ian, 14, are joined by drumming prodigy Yoyoka and keyboardist Hugo Weiss. The lineup is similar to the one that performed with Jack Black in 2023 at the 100th birthday party for Tom Morello’s mom, Mary, who passed away earlier this year.
