Get ready to drop into the world of overpriced gaming peripherals, folks, as SteelSeries and KontrolFreek have teamed up with Epic Games to launch the Fortnite Collection. Because, you know, what every gamer needs is a $200 headset with a Peely skin on it. I mean, who needs actual in-game performance when you can have a fancy headset to match your avatar’s outfit? As players fight to claim the Victory Royale, these companies are fighting to claim your hard-earned cash.
The Fortnite Collection: A Treasure Trove of Overpriced Peripherals
The collection includes a range of peripherals, from the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 headset to the KontrolFreek Aim Boost Kit. Each item features iconic characters and in-game items from Fortnite, because who doesn’t want to pay extra for a mousepad with a picture of the Battle Bus on it? The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds | Fortnite Peely Edition, for example, comes with a banana-yellow shell and a charging case with a Peely rib design. It’s like they took all the leftover Peely skins from the in-game store and glued them to a pair of earbuds. And the best part? It only costs $219.99, a small price to pay for the privilege of looking like a human banana.
SteelSeries: Where Functionality Meets Overpricing
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless PC/Xbox | Fortnite Sprite Edition is another standout item in the collection. With its light blue headband and Water Sprite face on the transparent blue outer shell, it’s the perfect accessory for any gamer who wants to show off their love for Fortnite. And at $129.99, it’s a steal! I mean, who needs to pay rent when you can have a fancy headset to match your in-game outfit? The Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 Mouse | Fortnite Storm Edition is another highlight, with its multi-color finish and lightning-embossed scroll wheel. It’s like they took all the leftover lightning bolts from the storm and glued them to a mouse. And the best part? It only costs $139.99, a small price to pay for the privilege of having a mouse that looks like it was struck by lightning.
KontrolFreek: Because Your Controller Needs More Swag
KontrolFreek is also getting in on the action, with their Fortnite-themed Aim Boost Kit and Performance Fishsticks. Because what every gamer needs is a $35 kit to improve their aim, complete with a Collector’s Burger Box Case. I mean, who needs actual skill when you can have a fancy kit to make you look like a pro? The Performance Fishsticks, on the other hand, feature the Fishstick face on the GripTek material high-rise right stick and mid-rise left stick. It’s like they took all the leftover Fishstick skins from the in-game store and glued them to a pair of thumbsticks. And the best part? It only costs $19.99, a small price to pay for the privilege of looking like a human Fishstick.
Conclusion: A Collection of Overpriced Peripherals
In conclusion, the Fortnite Collection from SteelSeries and KontrolFreek is a treasure trove of overpriced peripherals that will make you look like a pro, but won’t actually improve your gameplay. So, if you’re looking to drop some cash on some fancy gaming gear, look no further. But if you’re looking for actual performance, you might want to look elsewhere. As I always say, “You can’t buy skill, but you can buy a fancy headset to make you look like you have skill.” And that’s exactly what this collection is all about. So, go ahead and treat yourself to a $200 headset, or a $35 aim boost kit. Your wallet might cry, but your avatar will look fabulous.
