Trump Mulls Firing Aides Who Did Exactly What He Wanted Apparently

Trump Mulls Firing Aides Who Did Exactly What He Wanted Apparently

Folks, I’m sipping my coffee and reading about President Trump’s latest move, and I have to say, it’s a doozy. He’s distancing himself from two of his top political advisers, James Blair and Chris LaCivita, just a month before the midterm elections. Apparently, they’ve been doing some outside work that might be a conflict of interest, and Trump is saying he’ll terminate them immediately if that’s the case. I mean, I’m no expert, but it seems like a pretty big deal to be working for a pro-Russian government in the Balkans, especially when you’re also advising the President of the United States.

I’m reading through this article, and I see that The New York Times reported on Blair and LaCivita’s trip to Republika Srpska, where they were paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide counsel on voting issues. Now, Trump is saying he had nothing to do with their outside work, and that they’re just outside consultants who don’t work for him directly. Bless their hearts, it’s a pretty thin line to draw, if you ask me.

According to the article, Blair and LaCivita said they were working for the government of Republika Srpska, not the nationalist party that controls it. But, as the article points out, they’re essentially one and the same. It’s like saying you’re working for a company, but not really, because the company is just a shell for the real people in charge. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Trump posted on Truth Social that Blair and LaCivita are outside consultants who don’t work for him, and that they probably have numerous clients. But, if there’s a conflict of interest, he’ll terminate them immediately. I’m not sure what’s more surprising, the fact that they were working for a pro-Russian government or that Trump is only just now finding out about it.

The article also mentions that Blair leads Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., and is heading up the president’s midterm elections strategy. LaCivita is a senior adviser at MAGA Inc., and they’ve been spending tens of millions of dollars to bolster Republican candidates ahead of the midterms. It’s a lot of money, and it’s interesting to see how it’s being spent.

As I finish reading this article, I have to wonder what’s really going on here. Is Trump really distancing himself from Blair and LaCivita, or is this just a clever PR move? Either way, it’s certainly interesting to watch. And, as I always say, you can’t make this stuff up. The drama, the intrigue, the politics – it’s all just so deliciously entertaining. So, I’ll just sit back, sip my coffee, and enjoy the show. After all, it’s not every day you get to see a president’s advisers getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to work for a pro-Russian government. 🙄
