Trump Reassures Nation With Completely Reliable Staffing Promises Again

Trump Reassures Nation With Completely Reliable Staffing Promises Again

I’m sipping my coffee and reading about the latest drama in the White House, folks. Apparently, President Trump is denying rumors that he’s considering replacing his chief of staff, Susie Wiles. I mean, who doesn’t love a good game of “is she staying or is she going”? According to Trump, there’s “zero chance” he’s looking to replace Wiles, and I’m inclined to believe him, if only because it’s just too early in the morning for this much drama.

So, it seems that Politico reported earlier this week that Trump was surveying his allies about Wiles and maybe, possibly, potentially looking for someone new to fill the role. But Trump is having none of it, telling CNN’s Kristen Holmes that the whole story is “fake news”. I’m not surprised, really – it’s not like the media hasn’t been known to get things wrong from time to time.

Trump had some nice things to say about Wiles, calling her “incredible” and “smart and tough”. And let’s be real, the woman just went through a breast cancer diagnosis and surgery, so she’s definitely earned some praise. Wiles recently announced that she’s cancer-free, which is amazing news. I’m sure we can all agree on that, regardless of our political leanings.

Apparently, the White House told Politico that their reporting was incorrect before it was even published. You’d think that would be the end of it, but nope – the story still made it out into the world. Somewhere in Atlanta, a producer thought this sounded like a great way to get some clicks, I’m sure.

Trump seems confident that Wiles is here to stay, saying “Susie is here and she’s gonna be here for a long time”. I’m not going to lie, I’m a little bored with all the speculation – can’t we just have a quiet week in Washington for once? But I guess that’s just not how things work in the nation’s capital.

In conclusion, it looks like Susie Wiles is safe, at least for now. And if you’re still awake after reading all this, congratulations – you made it through a whole story about White House drama without falling asleep. As I finish my coffee, I’m left thinking that maybe, just maybe, we can all take a deep breath and wait for some actual news to happen. But until then, I’ll just be over here, sipping my coffee and waiting for the next big story to break. 🙄
