"Death’s New BFF: Psychedelics Crash the Funeral Party – Free Admission!"

Psychedelic support at the end of life is evolving quickly as it continues to demonstrate the capacity to ease the existential and psychological distress associated with the fear of dying. New research is widening our understanding of those effects, as well as beginning to uncover potential benefits for people living with chronic pain, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, and the after-effects of stroke. At the same time, experience drawn from the guides who have been doing this work for decades continues to shape how we understand and accompany people facing serious illness.

Designed for those new to psychedelics as well as seasoned facilitators, this popular 90-minute online workshop has been updated to bring togetherthe latest research and real-world knowledge that has emerged from years of practice. Together, we will look at what is known and what is being learned to provide safe psychedelic support for people living with serious illness. In this session, we will explore:

Emerging Scientific Findings
The newest science, including findings related to chronic and neurodegenerative conditions, functional and motor improvements, and reductions in end-of-life fear and overwhelm.

Understanding the Client’s Mindset
Physiological changes, psychological stress, existential questions, socio-cultural pressures, and spiritual beliefs all shape a person’s experience at the end of life. Understanding this mindset and normalizing the concerns and feelings that arise is essential. We’ll discuss why individuals at this stage often approach psychedelic work with different intentions, different vulnerabilities, and a different relationship to meaning.

Facilitator Considerations That Support the Work
Considerations and practices for supporting psychedelic work at end of life grow directly out of understanding the client and their fears and concerns. These are not “new methods,” but rather practices emerging from years of collective experience among those who consistently help clients feel held, cared for, and supported during this profound stage of life.

Join us on February 23, 12–1:30pm ET / 9–10:30am PT for this FREE online event as we explore how psychedelic experiences may help shift the belief that death is solely a medical event and finite end, toward understanding dying as a transitional state into a different dimension of awareness. This perspective does not promise ease, but it can open a different relationship with the end of life, one shaped more by presence, curiosity, and connection than by overwhelm.

Meet your Instructor:
Christine Caldwell is the Founder and Executive Director of End of Life Psychedelic Care, a nonprofit dedicated to reclaiming death and dying as a sacred journey. While psychedelics are only one path, and not the right choice for everyone, research and lived experience show their potential to shift Western medical views of dying toward greater acceptance of this universal passage.

Christine has completed Psychedelics Today’s Vital Therapies and Integration Program as well as Dr. Rosalind Watts’ ACER Integration Program. She also brings prior experience as the owner of a 250-client home health agency where she began to understand the challenges facing clients as they aged in place and how to improve their quality of life.

About End of Life Psychedelic Care:
EOLPC envisions a world where everyone has access to psychedelic medicines and their potential to transform the death and dying process from one of fear into a sacred and loving journey.

To further that vision, our mission is to advance the safe, affordable, and accessible use of psychedelic medicine for anyone faced with a life-threatening illness.

We focus on four programs in support of our mission: Educating consumers and practitioners on the safe and supported use of psychedelics; Connecting consumers and professionals together; Advocating for legislative and policy reform; and Building Evidence-based solutions through research.

As a 501(c)3, we also deeply appreciate support to continue to offer free and low cost programming! 100% of all donations go to funding our mission-aligned programs.
