Slipknot Finally Fires Guy Who Spins Around In Circle

Slipknot Finally Fires Guy Who Spins Around In Circle

I just spilled my beer all over my favorite Slipknot t-shirt and I’m still trying to process the news that Sid Wilson, aka #0, has been officially fired from the band. I mean, what’s next? Is Corey Taylor going to start wearing a suit and tie on stage? 🤣 According to TMZ.com, a source close to the band confirmed that Wilson was given the boot on Friday afternoon, July 31. I’m not sure what’s more surprising, the fact that he got fired or that the band still uses a payphone to make important decisions 📞.

The news of Wilson’s dismissal has left fans wondering what led to this decision. Was it his questionable fashion sense? His love for DJing? Or was it just a case of “creative differences” 🤔? One thing is for sure, Wilson had been an integral part of the band’s sound and stage presence since 1998, providing those iconic sound effects and background noises that made Slipknot’s music so unique.

The Sid Wilson Era: A Look Back

Wilson’s time in Slipknot was marked by some notable moments, including his stint as DJ Starscream, where he would tour and perform under that moniker. He also had a pretty rough time during the “All Hope Is Gone” tour in 2008, where he shattered both his heels after diving off the stage in Washington 🤕. But hey, that’s all part of being a rockstar, right? 🤟

In recent years, Wilson’s personal life had been making headlines, including his engagement to Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and the birth of their son, Sidney, in November 2022. The two had announced their engagement at Black Sabbath’s farewell show in 2022, just weeks before Ozzy’s passing 🙏. But, as we all know, their relationship didn’t quite work out, and they reportedly split in March of this year 🚫.

What’s Next for Slipknot?

So, what does this mean for Slipknot’s future? Will they find a new #0 to take Wilson’s place? Will they just use a fancy computer program to generate those sound effects 🤖? The world is waiting with bated breath to find out. In the meantime, I’ll just be over here, mourning the loss of Wilson’s unique stage presence and wondering what could have been 🤷‍♂️.

As a fan, it’s hard not to feel a little concerned about the band’s direction. I mean, who’s next? Is Corey Taylor going to start playing the harmonica 🎸? But, at the end of the day, Slipknot is a band that’s all about evolution and change, so maybe this is just the beginning of a new era 🌟. Or maybe they’ll just replace Wilson with a hologram and call it a day 🤖. Either way, I’ll still be rocking out to their music, even if it’s just in my living room, with a beer in hand, and a Slipknot t-shirt stained with beer 🍺. Cheers to that! 🍻
