Oh boy, are you guys ready for this? Nickelback is going on tour again, because apparently, the world wasn’t already a dark and unforgiving place 🤣. I mean, who needs peace and quiet when you can have Chad Kroeger’s vocals screaming in your ears? In a recent interview with Hive magazine, bassist Mike Kroeger talked about the band’s “bucket list” and how they’re just gonna keep on rocking until the wheels fall off… or until we all lose our minds, whichever comes first.
So, it turns out that Nickelback has had a pretty great run, with a bunch of Grammy nominations and a induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. You know, the usual – being hated by everyone, but still managing to sell out shows and make a ton of money 🤑. Mike Kroeger said that the band’s goal is just to keep making records and going on tour, as long as people keep showing up to their rock shows. Because, you know, the people have spoken, and they want more Nickelback… or maybe they just want to experience the thrill of hearing “Photograph” live for the 12th time 🎸.
The Never-Ending Tour
Nickelback has announced a massive 2027 world arena tour in support of their upcoming album “Everything Under The Sun”, which is set to arrive on October 30 via Virgin Music Group. Because, you know, the world was just missing a new Nickelback album 🙄. The tour will feature support from British alt-rockers Don Broco, because why not? It’s not like we have better things to do than listen to a bunch of guys playing guitars and singing about… whatever it is Nickelback sings about 🤷♂️.
But seriously, the tour kicks off in North America in February and will include dates in Europe, before winding down in Australia in October. Because, you know, the Australians need some Nickelback in their lives too 🇦🇺. The concerts will feature all the hits, including “Rockstar”, “Figured You Out”, and of course, “Photograph” – the song that will be stuck in your head for the rest of eternity 🎶.
The Criticism
Mike Kroeger also addressed the fact that Nickelback was once the most disliked band in America, with people denying their fandom and hiding their CDs like they were ashamed of something 🙈. But hey, who needs dignity when you can rock out to “How You Remind Me” in the comfort of your own home, right? 🤣. Kroeger said that the criticism and memes didn’t really affect the band, but it did take a little bit of the shine off the fun of it. Aww, poor Nickelback 🤕.
But let’s be real, some of those memes are pretty funny 🤣. I mean, who can forget “Thickelback”, the meme that features the band members with super-skinny waists and big fat asses in tight jeans 🤣? It’s like the internet was just begging for a good laugh, and Nickelback was happy to oblige 🎉.
So, if you’re ready to rock out to some of the most mediocre music of the 2000s, then get ready for the Nickelback tour 🎸. Tickets go on sale soon, and I’m sure they’ll sell out faster than you can say “Nickelback is the worst” 🎟️. But hey, at least we’ll all have something to complain about for the next year or so 🤣.
