Anders Colsefni dusts off old SLIPKNOT songs for nostalgic cash grab

images

In a shocking turn of events, Anders Colsefni, the original singer of Slipknot, has resurfaced to talk about his time in the band and his experiences with their debut album “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.”. We’re not sure what’s more surprising, the fact that he’s still alive or that he’s still willing to talk about his time in the band 🤷‍♂️.

According to Colsefni, performing songs from “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.” live has been a wild ride. He had to research some of his old lyrics, especially for “The Crowz” songs, which is just a compilation of demo recordings with both him and Corey Taylor on vocals 🤔. He also had to get back in shape to perform the songs, which involved beating on drums, screaming, yelling, singing, rapping, and growing some more 🤯. We’re pretty sure that’s just a typical Tuesday for any metalhead 💀.

The “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.” Album: A Demo or a Full-Fledged Album? 🤔

Colsefni considers “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.” to be a full album, despite some people viewing it as just a demo 📀. He spent over a year working on the album, and it was recorded, engineered, produced, and mixed well, so it’s a full-length deal in his book 📚. However, he does admit that it was a demo in the sense that they were still figuring out their sound 🎸.

When asked about the 2024 version of “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.”, which was recorded with KAOSIS, Colsefni was not happy about it 😒. He said it was a poor representation of the original songs and that he was misled about the project 🙅‍♂️. He even went so far as to tell his fans not to listen to it and to instead find the original version on YouTube 📹.

PAINFACE and ON A PALE HORSE: Colsefni’s Post-Slipknot Projects 🎸

After leaving Slipknot, Colsefni formed the band PAINFACE in 1998, which was later renamed ON A PALE HORSE in 2001 🎶. He left the band in 2003 but revived PAINFACE in 2010 with a new lineup 🔄. They released two new singles, “Welcome, Mother Of Death” and “Temple”, in 2025, and are working on more music 🎵.

Colsefni’s experiences with PAINFACE and ON A PALE HORSE have been a mixed bag 🤔. He’s had to deal with lineup changes, personal struggles, and the challenges of the music industry 🎶. However, he’s persevered and is still making music that he’s passionate about 🎸.

In conclusion, Anders Colsefni is still alive and kicking, and he’s got a lot to say about his time in Slipknot and his post-Slipknot projects 🤯. We’re not sure what’s next for him, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be interesting 🤔. So, stay tuned, folks! 📺
