Trump Builds Something, Somehow Still Has Money Left Over

Trump Builds Something, Somehow Still Has Money Left Over

Folks, I’m sipping my coffee and reading about President Trump’s latest project, and I have to say, it’s a doozy. He’s giving reporters a tour of the new White House driveway and helipad, and he’s really proud of the work he’s done. I mean, who wouldn’t be proud of a driveway, right? It’s not like it’s a small thing, it’s a big deal, especially when you’re talking about the White House. And let me tell you, Trump is all about the details, from the placement of stanchions to the radial cut of granite. He’s like a kid in a candy store, showing off his new toys.

I’m reading that Trump highlighted his personal investment in the projects, and I’m thinking to myself, “Wow, this guy really loves construction.” He’s talking about the elimination of potholes and the new California-mined white granite, and I’m thinking, “Okay, got it, it’s a nice driveway.” But then he starts talking about the helipad, and how he was unhappy with the slope, and I’m like, “Oh boy, here we go.” He says it was too much slope, and now it’s “dead flat,” and I’m thinking, “Well, I guess that’s a good thing.”

Trump is also talking about his favorite project, the 90,000-square-foot ballroom, and how it’s going to be a “military complex.” I’m not sure what to make of that, but I’m sure it’ll be a real showstopper. He’s downplaying any concerns that the Supreme Court might rule against him, and I’m thinking, “Well, we’ll see about that.” The construction on the ballroom is moving along quickly, with a 250-person crew working 20-hour days, seven days a week, and I’m like, “Wow, that’s a lot of work.”

As I’m reading through this article, I’m starting to think that Trump really loves being a construction boss. He’s guiding the press around the helipad, pointing out the updates to the White House facade, and talking about the fresh topsoil and grass. He’s like a proud papa, showing off his new baby. And let’s not forget the carved granite helipad with the presidential seal, which he compared to his restoration of the Wollman Rink in Central Park. I’m thinking, “Okay, that’s a nice comparison.”

The president’s tour of the ongoing projects is really highlighting how central construction is to his presidential legacy. He says, “One thing I know how to do is build. … I love construction, I love seeing things properly taken care of,” and I’m like, “Well, I guess that’s true.” He’s talking about how the projects will be here long after we’re gone, and I’m thinking, “Yeah, that’s a good point.” A recent review from Politifact found that Trump has spent a lot of time talking about these projects, and I’m like, “No kidding.”

As I’m finishing up this article, I’m thinking that Trump really has a vision for the White House. He’s talking about how the new projects will be utilized when the White House welcomes dignitaries for state visits, and I’m like, “Okay, that sounds nice.” He says, “Without even having to go into the White House, they get out of the car on the beautiful new roadway. They get out of the car and they walk down this path onto that [helipad], and they can have cocktails and everything outside of the White House, and then they go into the ballroom,” and I’m thinking, “Well, that sounds like a real party.”

In conclusion, Trump’s latest project is definitely a big deal, and he’s really proud of it. I’m not sure what to make of it all, but I’m sure it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll all be sipping cocktails on the new helipad, enjoying the fresh topsoil and grass. Wouldn’t that be something? 🙄
