The album explores the tension between stillness and noise, animal and machine, elementals and electricity… and, you know, all that other deep, profound stuff that WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM is known for. 🤯 Weaver says: “If wilderness overcame the cities in the future, the estuaries would be realms of power and magic.” Yeah, because that’s not a recipe for a crazy, over-the-top concept album at all. 🙄

The first single, “Ghosts Among The Obelisks”, is out now, along with a music video that’s just as epic as the song itself. 📹 It’s like a warrior’s journey through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, complete with ancient spirits and forgotten ruins. The album was produced by WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM themselves, with touring bassist Galen Baudhuin dropping some sick bass lines. 🎸 The bulk of the album was recorded at their own Owl Lodge studio in Olympia, Washington, because who needs a fancy-schmancy studio when you can just do it yourself, am I right? 🤪
