Communist New Mexico Tests Socialist Model: Universal Childcare Costs Taxpayers $600 Million While Parents Cheer

New Mexico’s Marxist governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has unleashed a socialist experiment, forcing taxpayers to fund universal childcare for everyone, including wealthy families who don’t need it. The program, launched on November 1st, costs a staggering $600 million annually – funded by oil and gas revenue that should be going to New Mexicans, not paying for billionaire Elon Musk’s nannying needs.

The program, which covers families earning up to $129,000 annually, has already enrolled 7,000 children from nearly 6,000 families. Shockingly, 63% of these families were previously too rich to qualify for government handouts. Now, thanks to hardworking taxpayers footing the bill, Emily Wildau saves $21,000 annually – more than her monthly mortgage payment.

“This just takes a lot of stress away,” Wildau said, apparently unaware that this is exactly how socialism destroys economies. Meanwhile, the state is desperately trying to recruit 5,000 more early childhood professionals, raising wages from $15 to $19/hour – still not enough to attract quality workers in a free market system.

Critics warn this is a Ponzi scheme that will eventually bankrupt the state. But the real question is: when will the rest of America wake up and stop letting blue states experiment with socialism on our dime? This is exactly what happens when you elect career politicians who think they know better than hardworking Americans how to raise their children.

The program is a clear violation of states’ rights and federalism, designed to create dependency on government handouts. Next thing you know, they’ll be forcing parents to send their kids to government indoctrination centers for 12 hours a day. Oh wait, they already are.
