After over 10 years of fans begging for a new Bloodborne game, Sony has finally decided to give them what they really wanted: an animated film produced by YouTuber JackSepticEye 🎉. Because, you know, what every fan of a dark, gothic horror game really wants is a cartoon 🤣. The announcement was made at CinemaCon 2026, and we can’t wait to see how the film will butcher the game’s atmosphere and tone 📽️. JackSepticEye, aka Seán McLoughlin, is producing the project, and he’s super excited to be working on it 🤩. We’re sure his extensive experience in making YouTube videos will definitely translate to making a good film 🙄.

So, after over 10 years since the game’s release, Sony is finally returning to the Bloodborne franchise, but not in the way fans hoped 🙅‍♂️. Instead of a new game or even a remaster, we’re getting an R-rated animated feature film 🎥. Because, you know, the game’s themes of cosmic horror and existential dread are just perfect for a cartoon 🤪. The film will be produced by PlayStation Productions, Lyrical Animation, and JackSepticEye, because who needs experience in filmmaking when you have a lot of YouTube subscribers 📊?

The announcement came out of left field, and fans are still trying to figure out what to make of it 🤔. There’s no director, screenwriter, voice cast, or release date announced yet 📆, but we’re sure it’ll all come together somehow 🤞. President of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, Sanford Panitch, promised that the film will be faithful to the game’s legacy 🙏, which is just code for “we’re going to make a lot of changes and hope the fans don’t notice” 🙃.

JackSepticEye took to Reddit to make a statement about the film, and he’s really enthusiastic about it 🤩. He says he’s going to do everything in his power to make it the best Bloodborne adaptation possible 🎯, which is just what we want to hear from a producer with no film credentials 📚. Fans, on the other hand, are not too pleased with the decision 🙅‍♂️. They’re calling it an April Fool’s joke 🤣, and some are even saying that Sony will do anything but release Bloodborne on PC 🖥️.

It’s worth noting that another YouTuber, Markiplier, recently released his first feature film, Iron Lung, and it did remarkably well at the box office 📊. Sony may be trying to capture that same lightning-in-a-bottle 🌪️, but we’re not sure if JackSepticEye is the right person for the job 🤔. He has no film credentials outside of making shorts on YouTube and being a fan of Bloodborne 📹, but hey, maybe that’s all you need to make a good film 🎥.

The Bloodborne animated film has only been announced, and more information will undoubtedly come out soon 📣. We can’t wait to see how it’ll all come together 🤔, and whether it’ll be a faithful adaptation of the game or a complete disaster 🌪️. One thing’s for sure, though: it’ll be a cartoon 🤣, and that’s just what every fan of a dark, gothic horror game really wants 🙄. 🎉👏💔👻💀
