Oh boy, are you guys ready for some robotic metal goodness? 🤖 FEAR FACTORY is back with a brand new single, “Roboticist”, and I’m just soooo excited… said no one ever. But seriously, the song is set to drop on August 29, and it’s going to be the band’s first release with their new lineup, featuring singer Milo Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber. Because, you know, the old lineup was getting stale, and they needed some fresh blood… or should I say, fresh circuits? 💻
The song’s lyrics are all about the creator of robots and artificial intelligence, because, you know, that’s not a theme that’s been done to death in metal music. 🙄 Dino Cazares, the band’s guitarist, explained that the song is about “the architect of the artificial” and how they’re building machines to outlast humanity. Wow, what a unique and not-at-all-dystopian concept.
The New Era of FEAR FACTORY
Cazares also talked about how the band is entering a new era with their new lineup, and how they’re excited to show fans what they’ve been working on. Because, you know, the fans were just dying to hear more of the same old industrial metal sound with a new singer. 🙃 He said that Milo brings a fresh energy to the band, and that he’s a talented musician who can play multiple instruments. Yeah, because that’s exactly what FEAR FACTORY was missing – a singer who can play keyboards.
The band’s new album is set to feature lyrics that deal with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, because, you know, that’s not a topic that’s been covered in every other metal song released in the past few years. 🤦♂️ Cazares said that the album is going to be heavy, modern, and feature a lot of great programming and cool little surprises. Wow, I can barely contain my excitement.
FEAR FACTORY’s Upcoming Tour
The band is set to embark on a European tour, called the “Cybernetic Domination” tour, with support from CRYSTAL LAKE, HATE, and THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR. Because, you know, what’s a metal tour without a bunch of bands with silly names? 🤣 The tour will kick off on August 29 in Poznan, Poland, and will conclude on October 10 in London, UK.
Cazares also talked about how the band’s new lineup is working out, and how Milo is a great fit for the band. He said that Milo has his own style, but also knows how to deliver the classic FEAR FACTORY sound. Yeah, because that’s exactly what fans want – more of the same old sound with a new singer. 🙄
In conclusion, FEAR FACTORY is back with a new single, a new lineup, and a new album that’s sure to be… well, more of the same old same old. 🤷♂️ But hey, if you’re into that sort of thing, go ahead and check them out. Just don’t expect me to be too excited about it. 😴
