New Press Secretary Fails Bar Exam But Plays One Online

New Press Secretary Fails Bar Exam But Plays One Online

I’m sipping my coffee and reading this article about Katie Zacharia, the new White House press secretary, and I have to say, it’s a wild ride. Apparently, she’s been sharing social media posts identifying herself as an “attorney” over the past two years, despite failing the California bar exam. Now, I’m no lawyer, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works. She’s been told not to use the term “attorney” or “esquire,” but she’s still out there sharing headlines that call her an attorney. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

I mean, I get it, mistakes happen, but this is a pretty big one. And it’s not just a one-time thing, she’s been doing it repeatedly on her social media accounts. She’s shared Fox News headlines and One America News segments that call her an attorney, and she’s even referred to herself as a lawyer in television and podcast appearances. It’s like she’s trying to convince everyone, including herself, that she’s a real attorney.

Now, I know some people might say, “Well, Big Elephant, she’s just trying to boost her credentials.” But come on, if you’re going to call yourself an attorney, you should probably make sure you’ve passed the bar exam first. It’s not like it’s a minor detail or anything. And what’s even more interesting is that she’s been working in the legal field in China, where foreigners aren’t even eligible to take the bar exam. So, what exactly has she been doing over there?

I have to say, I’m a bit amused by the whole situation. I mean, it’s not every day you see someone trying to pass themselves off as an attorney without actually being one. And the best part is, she’s been defended by the White House, with a spokesman saying she’s “uniquely qualified and whip smart.” I’m not sure what that means, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t mean she’s an attorney.

The California bar association has said they have no record of her being licensed to practice law in California, and a watchdog group has asked them to investigate whether she’s misrepresented her legal qualifications. I think it’s safe to say that Katie Zacharia has got some ‘splainin’ to do.

In conclusion, this whole story is just a big mess, and I’m not sure how it’s all going to play out. But one thing’s for sure, Katie Zacharia has definitely given me something to talk about over my coffee. And let’s be real, if you’re going to call yourself an attorney, you should probably make sure you’ve got the credentials to back it up. Otherwise, you might just find yourself in a whole lot of trouble. 🙄
