Millennium Media has officially announced the development of John Rambo, a prequel to the classic First Blood. Set during the Vietnam War, this origin story aims to delve into the formative experiences that shaped the legendary one-man army, John Rambo. The project is currently being showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, with production slated to begin in October in Thailand.

The screenplay is being crafted by the writing duo Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, known for their collaboration on Black Adam.
