Trump’s Brainwave: “Shadow” Fed Chair – Because Reality Isn’t Absurd Enough

Fed official Christopher Waller

Oh, the horror! Trump is thinking of shaking things up at the Fed! CNN is clutching its pearls, terrified that someone might actually challenge the liberal groupthink that has been strangling our economy.

Trump wants to name a successor to Jerome Powell “very soon,” even though Powell has 11 months left. The liberal media is melting down, calling it “unprecedented.” Unprecedented like a booming economy and secure borders? Sounds good to me!

They’re whining about a “shadow” Fed chair causing “confusion.” Maybe the confusion is just that someone competent might actually be in charge for a change. Alan Blinder, a Clinton crony, calls it a “horrible idea.” Of course he does! He probably profits from the swamp.

The dollar might dip, but stocks are “unfazed.” Because smart investors know Trump knows what he’s doing. These “experts” are worried about the Fed’s “independence.” Independence from common sense, maybe. Time to drain the swamp, one unelected bureaucrat at a time!
