LOU GRAMM trashes modern rock because hes 80 and out of touch

attachment Lou Gramm 2024

Oh no, rock music is dead… again 🙄. Original FOREIGNER singer Lou Gramm has weighed in on the whole “rock is dead” debate, because apparently, we needed another old dude’s opinion on this 😴. In a recent interview with Barry Robinson of Classic Album Review, Lou said that the rock music currently in the charts is not his cup of tea, and that it’ll take a miracle to get real rock back on the radio 🙏. Because, you know, “Hot Blooded” and songs like that would never be played now… ever 🙅‍♂️.

So, what’s the deal with rock music being dead? Well, it’s not like it’s a new thing or anything. Gene Simmons of KISS said it back in 2014, and since then, a bunch of other musicians have chimed in with their two cents 💸. Lou Gramm’s take is that the rock music today is too commercial and poppy, and that it’s just not the same as the good old days 🙄. I mean, who needs innovation and evolution in music when you can just keep playing the same old chords and singing about the same old stuff, right? 🤷‍♂️

The “Rock is Dead” Argument: A History Lesson 📚

So, let’s take a step back and look at the history of the “rock is dead” argument. It’s been around for decades, with various musicians and pundits proclaiming the genre dead at different times 💀. In 2018, Adam Levine of MAROON 5 said that rock music was nowhere to be found, and that hip-hop was where all the innovation was happening 🎤. Because, you know, rock music has never been about innovation or experimentation… 🙄

But hey, at least Lou Gramm is still out there, rocking out with FOREIGNER and playing all the hits 🎸. He’ll be joining the band’s current lineup for select shows in 2027, including a stint on the Rock Legends Cruise 🚣‍♀️. And if you’re lucky, you might even get to hear him sing “Hot Blooded” live… if you can stay awake that long 😴.

FOREIGNER’s Legacy: Still Rocking After All These Years 🤘

As a founding member and original lead singer of FOREIGNER, Lou Gramm played a huge role in creating the band’s signature sound 🎶. With hits like “Feels Like The First Time”, “Cold As Ice”, and “I Want To Know What Love Is”, FOREIGNER became one of the biggest rock bands of the 70s and 80s 📈. And even though the music landscape has changed dramatically since then, FOREIGNER’s music still holds up today 🎵.

So, is rock music really dead? 🤔 Who knows? Maybe it just needs a miracle to come back to life 🙏. Or maybe it’s just evolving into something new and different, like it always has 🔄. Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for rock music… or not 🙄. Because, let’s be real, it’s not like we haven’t heard this all before 😴.
