Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, a co-author of the law that forced the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, is now calling for Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to resign over his cozy relationship with the late pedophile. On CNN’s “Inside Politics,” Massie didn’t mince words: “No, he should just resign. I mean, there are three people in Great Britain that have resigned in politics.” Wow, Massie must be really mad if he’s bringing up those woke Brits!
Lutnick previously claimed he cut ties with Epstein after a creepy 2005 encounter, saying he’d “never be in the room with that disgusting person ever again.” But the newly released files tell a different story, showing Lutnick reached out to Epstein multiple times after 2005, including after Epstein pleaded guilty to procuring a minor for prostitution in 2008. The Commerce Department says Lutnick had “limited interactions” with Epstein “in the presence of his wife” and has never been accused of wrongdoing. Sure, Jan.
In a bizarre interview with the New York Post, Lutnick described being invited into Epstein’s home for coffee, where he was given a tour that included a massage table with candles. Lutnick claims that after Epstein said he got “the right kind of massage,” he vowed never to be in the same room with him again. But the files show Lutnick tried to invite Epstein to a Hillary Clinton fundraiser in 2015 and sought coordinates to meet Epstein’s boat in 2012. Interesting how these swamp creatures all seem to know each other!
When CNN’s Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump about Lutnick and Elon Musk being mentioned in the Epstein files, the president brushed it off, saying, “I’m sure they’re fine. Otherwise, it would have been major headlines.” Translation: the fake news media is too busy attacking me to focus on my administration’s minor connections to a convicted pedophile!
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer seems uninterested in calling Lutnick to testify, claiming Lutnick only went to one of Epstein’s properties “with his wife and children.” Oh, so that makes it okay then? What a joke! This is exactly why we need to keep draining the swamp – because even supposedly conservative Republicans are making excuses for their buddies’ connections to a child sex trafficker. But don’t worry, President Trump will get to the bottom of this and expose the deep state pedophiles!
