Carcass Tour Delayed Because Drummer Has Family That Actually Loves Him

Carcass 1280x880

Oh no, the world is ending: Carcass postpones Australian tour due to “family situation” 🌪️. I mean, who needs extreme metal when you have family drama, right? 😒. The British veterans were supposed to embark on their “Putrefying Down Under” tour with Brujeria, but I guess Dan Wilding’s family situation is more important than our necks getting wrecked by “Heartwork” 🤯. I’m not saying I’m not sympathetic, but priorities, people! 🤷‍♂️

So, what happened? Well, Carcass released a statement on social media saying that Dan Wilding is dealing with a “deeply upsetting family situation” and needs to be with his family. Yeah, because nothing says “family bonding” like a grueling metal tour 🤪. They’re rescheduling their Australia and New Zealand dates, as well as their China and India shows. I guess we’ll just have to wait a bit longer to get our fix of “Torn Arteries” 🤘.

A Brief History of Carcass

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Carcass is a legendary extreme metal band from the UK. Their latest album, “Torn Arteries”, was released in 2021 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album title references an old demo created by original drummer Ken Owen back in the 1980s. Because, you know, metal bands love digging up old demos and making them relevant again 🙄. The album artwork is, of course, a beautiful display of rotting vegetables, because what’s more metal than that? 🥗

Carcass has been around for nearly four decades, inventing gore-grind and melodic death metal along the way. They’re known for their ability to dissect death metal and display its innards for us to sonically understand. Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to do with my Saturday night – listen to a detailed analysis of death metal’s internal organs 🤪.

In conclusion, the world may not be ending, but Carcass’s Australian tour is postponed. If you’re still interested in attending the rescheduled shows, make sure to grab your tickets and get ready for a face-melting experience 🤘. And to Dan Wilding, we say: take care of your family situation, dude. We’ll be here, headbanging to “Heartwork” on repeat 🤯.
