Alissa White-Gluz and Dragonforce's super secret collab that nobody actually cared about

OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS! 🤯 Alissa White-Gluz is joining DragonForce and I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from the floor! I mean, I’ve seen some crazy things in my time as a metalhead, but this? This is just insane! 😂 I’m not sure if I should be excited or terrified, but I’m definitely intrigued. So, let’s dive into this wild ride and see what’s going on.

So, it seems that Alissa White-Gluz, the former Arch Enemy singer, has joined forces with the mighty DragonForce, and I’m not sure what to expect. I mean, Alissa is known for her powerful vocals and DragonForce is known for their face-melting guitar solos, so this could be a match made in heaven or a disaster waiting to happen. 🤔 In a recent interview with Benedetta Baldin of Chaoszine, Alissa talked about her collaboration with DragonForce, saying that she was surprised people were surprised by the news, since they’ve been walking around together and taking photos for months already. Yeah, because that’s not something that would raise any eyebrows at all… 🙄

But Seriously, What’s Going On Here?

Alissa explained that DragonForce is a band that really cares about delivering an excellent-quality piece of entertainment every single night, and that they’re all super involved in the process. She also mentioned that she’s always been detail-oriented, having worked in theater for many years, and that it’s cool to be around people who care about the same things. That’s great, Alissa, but what about the music? 🎸 She said that DragonForce is super heavy in a different way, because they’re so fast, and that it’s a workout for every single musician on stage. Okay, got it, so they’re fast and heavy, but what about the vocals? 🎤

In another interview with Local Band Smokeout, Alissa was asked if her 2025 collaboration with DragonForce on an alternate version of their track “Burning Heart” was what ultimately led to her joining the band. She said that it was kind of, but that they all agreed that they had a good vibe working together and that the music could be really cool if they combined their strengths. Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to hear – more of the same old power metal nonsense… 😴 Just kidding, I’m actually kind of excited to see what they come up with.

So, What’s Next for Alissa and DragonForce?

Alissa talked about working on new music with DragonForce, saying that it’s been really good and that they’re all confident about the direction they’re taking. She also mentioned that they’ve been working on lyrics, chord structures, and arrangements, and that it’s been great to be expressing that kind of intense energy. Okay, cool, so they’re working on new music, but what about the tour? 🎟️ DragonForce’s largest North American tour in more than two decades will bring the world’s fastest band to 22 cities this November and December, with support from Ensiferum and Rhapsody of Fire. Because what’s a metal tour without a few dozen dates and a bunch of opening acts, right? 🤣

Alissa also talked about her new band, Blue Medusa, which features guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia, bassist Alicia Vigil, and drummer Delaney Jaster. Because, you know, one band just isn’t enough for Alissa White-Gluz… 🙄 She said that it feels great to be able to invest time into Blue Medusa fully, and that she loves the music they’re making. Yeah, because that’s exactly what I want to hear – more music from Alissa White-Gluz… 😴 Just kidding, I’m actually kind of excited to see what Blue Medusa comes up with.

In conclusion, Alissa White-Gluz joining DragonForce is either the best thing that’s happened to metal in years or the worst thing that’s happened to our ears. 🤣 Either way, it’s definitely going to be an interesting ride, and I’m excited to see what they come up with. So, stay tuned, folks, and let’s see if Alissa and DragonForce can bring the heat… or not. 🔥🎸
