After cancelling their tour late last year, experimental collective The Residents have once again announced a North American tour in celebration of their acclaimed 1979 album Eskimo, marking the first time in 46 years that the project will be performed live. Now rescheduled for fall 2026, The Residents’ “Eskimo Live! North American Tour” will feature the art collective performing the entirety of Eskimo, exploring the album’s mythology through “a surrealist ritual, featuring narration, characters, and staging.” The production will also introduce five newly written pieces inspired by traditional Indigenous Arctic folk tales documented in late 19th century collections. Rushadicus the Infamous Cello Goblín will open each date.
The rescheduled tour will now begin on October 7th with a show in Chicago, followed by stops in cities like Buffalo, Toronto, New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Tuscon, and more. The tour will conclude on December 1st in San Diego; see the full list of The Residents’ tour dates below.
