A series of live-to-film concerts centered around Wicked: Part One and Wicked: For Good is set to kick off in early 2027. “Wicked: Part One in Concert” will see a full symphony orchestra performing the music of Stephen Schwartz and John Powell, synchronized with a screening of the film.
Following a special preview concert in San Francisco on January 16th, the series will make its world premiere at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on January 23rd. Subsequent stops include Chicago, Mexico City, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. Additional dates and cities will be announced.
Tour Dates and Ticket Information
Tickets will first be available through a free Live Nation All Access pre-sale for select dates beginning on Thursday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. local time, followed by the general on-sale on Friday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster and the official website.
Stephen Schwartz said in a statement, “When I’ve seen live concerts of film scores, I’ve always found it an amazing experience, so I’m delighted that the Wicked movies are now becoming film concerts, especially under the expert direction of Justin Hurwitz and his talented team.”
