Travolta Tackles JFK Assassination in New Trailer Release

For decades, rumors about who was really behind the assassination of John F. Kennedy have kept conspiracy theorists busy, with the Chicago mob mentioned as one potential perpetrator. The upcoming movie November 1963, starring John Travolta, explores that potential truth over the course of the 48 hours surrounding JFK’s assassination, going “into the dark world of organized crime that may have been closer to the center of the story than history has revealed.”

Movie Details

The film, directed by Roland Joffé and also starring Robert Carlyle, Dermot Mulroney, Mandy Patinkin, and Jefferson White, draws upon “insights from the family of Chicago crime boss Sam Giancana,” (according to the press release) with Giancana’s nephew Nicolas Celozzi writing the script. What gets explored here? Nothing big, just “the alleged deal between Joe Kennedy and the Chicago Outfit that helped put JFK in the White House and the deadly betrayal that followed.”

Trailer Release

In the trailer, patsy Lee Harvey Oswald (Jefferson White) is revealed, as well as a second shooter and a whole lot of angry mob dudes. November 1963 is in theaters, appropriately enough, on November 20th. Watch this first trailer below, and for another take on the Kennedy assassination, the director’s cut of Oliver Stone’s JFK is currently available on 4K Ultra HD via Amazon.
