I just spilled my beer all over my denim jacket, and I’m not even mad about it, because Guns N’ Roses is finally taking a break from touring! 🎉 I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love watching Axl Rose’s hair blow in the wind as much as the next guy, but it’s about time they took a breather and focused on something else… like new music, maybe? 🤔 According to Slash, the band’s guitarist and resident cool guy, they’re planning to take a break from touring next year to work on new material. Oh, and by “new material,” I mean re-recording old songs they’ve been sitting on for years, because, you know, that’s exactly what the world needs more of 🙄.
So, it turns out that the band’s been touring non-stop since their reunion in 2016, and Slash says it’s been “really fucking cool.” I mean, who wouldn’t want to travel the world, play the same songs over and over, and deal with Axl’s infamous temper? 🤷♂️ But seriously, the band’s been killing it on their latest tour, and Slash thinks it’s been their best run since the reunion. And who can blame him? I mean, have you seen their setlist? It’s like a greatest hits collection up in there 🎸.
The Future of Guns N’ Roses: New Music, Maybe? 🤞
But enough about the past; let’s talk about the future. Slash says the band has a ton of material to work on, and they’re planning to release a new package of songs… eventually. Because, you know, releasing music is hard, guys 🤷♂️. He also mentioned that they might put out an actual album, but don’t hold your breath, folks. I mean, it’s not like they’ve been promising a new album for years or anything 🙄. And when they do release new music, it’ll probably be in some fancy digital format that only the cool kids understand 📊.
As for the recently released singles, “Atlas” and “Nothin’,” Slash says they’re just a couple of songs they had lying around and decided to re-record. Because, why not, right? 🤷♂️ “Atlas” is like the band’s attempt at being all epic and stuff, while “Nothin'” is just a chill song with some floaty keys and emotive guitar. You know, for when you’re feeling all introspective and whatnot 🌙.
Guns N’ Roses: The EP Kings 🤴
So, it turns out that Guns N’ Roses has been releasing a bunch of singles and EPs over the years, because who needs a full-length album, anyway? 🙄 I mean, it’s not like they’re just rehashing old material or anything 🙃. They released a four-song EP called “Hard Skool” in 2022, which included a couple of new songs and some live tracks. And let’s not forget about “Absurd,” “Perhaps,” and “The General,” which were all written during the “Chinese Democracy” sessions. Because, you know, that album was just a blast to make, I’m sure 🎉.
In conclusion, Guns N’ Roses is taking a break from touring, might release new music, and will probably just re-record some old songs and call it a day 🙄. But hey, at least they’re consistent, right? 🤷♂️ So, if you’re a die-hard Guns N’ Roses fan, just be patient and maybe, just maybe, they’ll release something new and exciting… or not 🤔. Either way, I’ll be over here, sipping my beer and waiting for the inevitable “Guns N’ Roses is back, and they’re better than ever!” headline 🍺. Cheers! 🎸
