Deicide Still Blaspheming After All These Years Somehow

Deicide 1

Oh boy, are you guys ready for some blasphemy? 🤯 DEICIDE just dropped a pro-shot video of their August 8, 2026 performance at the Leyendas Del Rock festival in Spain, and it’s a wild ride. I mean, who needs sleep when you can watch Glen Benton and co. tear through “Scars Of The Crucifix” and “Dead By Dawn” at 3 am? 🤘

The video features DEICIDE’s new guitarist, Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez, who joined the band in September 2025, replacing longtime guitarist Kevin Quirion. Quirion left the band after 15 years, citing a desire to spend more time with his family and focus on his own music projects. Because, you know, touring with DEICIDE can be a real family-friendly activity 🙄.

The New Guy

Gonzalez, formerly of EXMORTUS, seems to be fitting in just fine with the DEICIDE crew. When he first joined the band, he said, “I’m thrilled and honored to jam amongst such legends as Glen and Steve and to hang with the rest of the team. I thank them for having me on board.” Aww, isn’t that sweet? 🤗 It’s like he’s trying to convince us that he’s not just a sacrificial lamb to the metal gods or something.

But seriously, Gonzalez has some big shoes to fill, considering Quirion appeared on the last three DEICIDE albums: “In The Minds Of Evil”, “Overtures Of Blasphemy”, and “Banished By Sin”. That’s a lot of blasphemy to live up to.

Recent Releases

DEICIDE’s latest album, “Banished By Sin”, was released in April 2024 via Reigning Phoenix Music. Because what’s more metal than releasing an album on a label with a name that sounds like a rejected fantasy novel title? 🤣 The album features tracks like “Sever The Tongue”, which was released as a single in February 2024. The song was recorded at Smoke & Mirrors with engineer Jeramie Kling, and the mixing and mastering was handled by Josh Wilbur. You know, the usual suspects.

And because Christmas is all about blasphemy, DEICIDE released a festive song called “Bury The Cross…With Your Christ” in December 2023. Because who needs Jingle Bell Rock when you can have a song about, well, you know 🎄.

So, what’s next for DEICIDE? Will they continue to bring their brand of blasphemous metal to the masses? Only time (and their touring schedule) will tell. But for now, let’s just enjoy this pro-shot video and pretend we’re at a DEICIDE show, sans the sweat and beer stains 🤘. Cheers! 🍺
