Pete Webber still drumming for Fear Factory because your uncle refused to move out of his basement

Fear Factory Pete Webber Gear Masters ICON 2

In a shocking turn of events, FEAR FACTORY drummer Pete Webber has uploaded a drum-cam video of him performing the band’s latest single, “Roboticist”, with his bandmates on October 21, 2026 at Preserving Underground in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Because, you know, the world was just missing a drum-cam video of a song that’s already been out for a few months. We’re not complaining, though – it’s always exciting to see a band member’s face contorted in concentration while playing their instrument 🤘.

The song “Roboticist” was released in late August via Nuclear Blast, and it marks the band’s first release with FEAR FACTORY’s latest additions, singer Milo Silvestro and Webber, who have been part of FEAR FACTORY’s touring lineup for more than three and a half years. We’re not sure what’s more impressive – the fact that they’ve been touring for that long or that they still manage to produce music that doesn’t sound like it was made by robots (pun intended).

FEAR FACTORY Guitarist Dino Cazares Talks About the Song and the Upcoming Album

In a recent interview with GRIMM Gent, FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares stated about “Roboticist”: “Well, we had the ‘Roboticist’, the instrumental [version] I did three years ago, for a plugin that I was promoting that was a part of my plugin called the Toneforge Disruptor, and I wrote that song to show the different elements of what the plugin could do.” Wow, that’s a mouthful. We’re pretty sure that’s the most complicated explanation for a song’s origin story we’ve ever heard. But hey, at least it’s not as boring as a song about, say, a guy who works in an office and is sad about his life.

Cazares also talked about the lyrical themes covered on the upcoming FEAR FACTORY album and how much of a continuation they are on the sci-fi and “man-versus-machine” topics covered on the band’s previous LPs. Because, you know, the world really needs more songs about robots taking over the world 🤖. But seriously, FEAR FACTORY has always been known for their thought-provoking lyrics, and we’re excited to see where they take it with their new album.

FEAR FACTORY’s “Cybernetic Domination” Tour and Upcoming Album

The “Roboticist” release coincided with the launch of FEAR FACTORY’s “Cybernetic Domination” European tour with CRYSTAL LAKE, HATE, and THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR, which kicked off on August 29 in Poznan, Poland and concluded on October 10 in London, United Kingdom. Because, you know, the best way to promote a new song is to play it live in front of a crowd of sweaty metalheads 🤟. FEAR FACTORY recently announced a November 2026 U.S. tour with support from DARKEST HOUR and BROTALITY, because why not? It’s not like they have anything better to do, like, say, saving the world from robots or something.

In conclusion, FEAR FACTORY is back with a new song, a new tour, and a new album on the way. And we’re… well, we’re not really sure how to feel about it. Are we excited? Meh. Are we bored? Maybe. But hey, at least they’re still making music, right? 🤷‍♂️
