Another day, another tragedy in a Democrat-run city, and of course, the Left’s response is to deflect and virtue signal.
Mayor Vi Lyles of Charlotte, North Carolina, initially blamed “mental health issues” after a Ukrainian refugee was brutally stabbed to death on a light rail train. Can you believe it? They never learn!
Lyles then backtracked, suddenly realizing that blaming “underlying causes” wasn’t going to cut it. She then announced increased law enforcement and blamed the local courts. The problem isn’t mental health, folks; it’s the Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies that let these thugs roam free!
Five years after the George Floyd hoax, Democrats still can’t figure out how to talk about crime. Crime is down? Who cares about facts when people are getting stabbed on public transit?
Trump is right to send in the National Guard. These Democrat cities are war zones! The Left wants to defund the police, let criminals out on cashless bail, and then wonder why crime is skyrocketing.
The Democrats’ “racial equity” task forces are just another excuse to hamstring law enforcement. Thank God Trump is cracking down on these sanctuary cities and putting America first.
Republicans have it right as usual: lock up the criminals, and enforce the law!
