The newly announced run kicks off October 2nd in Louisville, Kentucky, before making stops in Boston, Miami, Cleveland, Salt Lake City, Joshua Tree, and more. The tour wraps up on November 1st in Vancouver, British Columbia, following a year on the road that has already taken SUNN O))) across North America and through Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, England, and Portugal.

Album Release and Physical Package

The trek supports SUNN O))), the band’s 10th studio album and first full-length release for Sub Pop. Since forming in 1998, Greg Anderson and Stephen O’Malley have largely released their music through Southern Lord Records, the independent label Anderson co-founded. The six-track, 80-minute album was co-produced and mixed by the duo alongside Brad Wood (Hum, Sunny Day Real Estate, Liz Phair) after being recorded at Bear Creek Studios in Washington during January 2025.

Beyond its extensive compositions, SUNN O))) arrives as a striking physical package. The album features paintings by the late Mark Rothko on its front and back covers, while acclaimed author Robert Macfarlane contributes liner notes inspired by his 2025 novel Is a River Alive?. French artist Elodie Lesourd also created illustrations featured throughout the vinyl packaging and accompanying merchandise.
