Oh boy, are you guys ready for some mechanically-enhanced metal? 🤖 FEAR FACTORY is back with a new single, “Roboticist”, and I’m just so excited to hear what Dino Cazares and the gang have been working on. I mean, who doesn’t love a good industrial-tinged metal song about robots and artificial intelligence? It’s not like we’ve heard that before or anything… 😒
So, “Roboticist” is set to drop on August 29, and it’ll be the band’s first release with their new vocalist, Milo Silvestro, and drummer, Pete Webber. Because, you know, the old lineup was getting a bit stale, and it was time for some new blood… or should I say, new oil? 🤖💧 An early instrumental version of the song was already released in 2023 to promote some guitar plugin thingy, but now we get to hear it with vocals and everything! I’m sure it’ll be a real game-changer.
The New Lineup
Dino Cazares has been talking up the new lineup, saying that Milo is a talented musician who can play a lot of instruments, and that Pete is an amazing drummer with a thrash background. Because, you know, that’s exactly what FEAR FACTORY needed – more thrash influences… said no one ever. 🙄 But hey, I’m sure it’ll be a great addition to their sound. I mean, who needs consistency when you can have a new drummer who’s been a fan of the band since he was 14? 🤘
In a recent interview, Dino said that the new album will deal with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and how humanity is becoming obsolete. Wow, what a unique and not-at-all-overdone concept… 🙄 I’m sure it’ll be a real thought-provoking exploration of the human condition… or just a bunch of songs about robots and machines. Either way, I’m sure it’ll be a blast! 🎉
Tour Time
FEAR FACTORY is also set to embark on a European tour, dubbed the “Cybernetic Domination” tour, with support from CRYSTAL LAKE, HATE, and THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR. Because, you know, what’s a metal tour without a bunch of bands with nondescript names? 🤷♂️ The tour kicks off on August 29 in Poland and concludes on October 10 in London. I’m sure it’ll be a real domination of the cybernetic kind… or just a bunch of guys playing music to a crowd of people in black t-shirts. 🤔
Dino has also been talking about the musical direction of the new material, saying that it’s heavy, modern, and has a lot of great programming and cool little surprises. Wow, I can barely contain my excitement… 🤩 I’m sure it’ll be a real masterpiece of industrial-tinged metal, and not just a rehashing of the same old ideas with some new fancy production tricks. 🙄
In conclusion, FEAR FACTORY is back with a new single, a new lineup, and a new tour. Because, you know, the metal world was just missing that one thing – more FEAR FACTORY. 🙄 I’m sure it’ll be a real treat for all the fans out there who have been waiting with bated breath for the band’s return. Or, you know, it could just be a bunch of noise about robots and machines. Either way, I’m sure it’ll be a wild ride! 🎢🤖
