In a shocking turn of events, German metal queen Doro Pesch has revealed that she’s still going strong after four and a half decades in the music industry. We’re talking sold-out tours, new music, and a lifetime achievement award – the whole shebang. I mean, who wouldn’t want to keep rocking out with a legend like Doro, right? 🤷‍♂️

In a recent interview with Kati Rausch of Music Interview Corner, Doro was asked if there’s a moment in her career that she’d like to travel back in time to experience as a fan. She responded by talking about the good old days of playing in small clubs with no security, where fans could just stage dive and stay on stage. Ah, the nostalgia is real 🎸.

Doro also shared her experience of seeing Ronnie James Dio in concert, which left her completely awestruck. She said: “I almost fell on my knees, fell to my knees because I was so touched. And I thought if I could ever do the same to the fans, then that would be good.” Because who wouldn’t want to be the next Ronnie James Dio, am I right? 🙄

The Secret to Her Success

So, what’s the secret to Doro’s enduring success? According to her, it’s the deep relationship with her fans. She said: “To me, the fans and the band, we are one. And, yeah, I think that’s the secret of doing it for such a long time.” Aww, how sweet. It’s not like she’s just in it for the money or anything 🤑.

But seriously, Doro also credits her vegan lifestyle and giving up smoking for her youthful energy. She said: “I think I’m more healthy [now] than I was in the ’80s.” Because nothing says “metal” like a good vegan diet 🥗.

New Music on the Horizon

In other news, Doro is currently working on a new EP, tentatively titled “Wild At Heart”, which is set to be released in November or December 2026. Because the world was just missing a new Doro EP, apparently 🙄. The EP will likely feature more of the same metal anthems that have made Doro a legend in the scene.

Last fall, Doro released “Warriors Of The Sea” via her own label Rare Diamonds Production, which was a huge success with fans. The album’s title track was written specifically as an anthem for her “Metal Queen Metal Cruises”, which have been a massive hit. Because who wouldn’t want to go on a metal cruise with Doro, right? 🚣‍♀️

In conclusion, Doro Pesch is still rocking out after all these years, and we’re not really sure why, but hey, at least she’s still got it 🤘. So, if you’re feeling nostalgic for the good old days of metal, or just want to experience some of that youthful energy for yourself, be sure to catch Doro on tour or check out her new EP when it drops. Just don’t forget to bring your earplugs 🎧.
