Patrick Schwarzenegger, noted thespian, joins the cast of 'Love of Your Life,' a film destined for cinematic glory

Oh, look, another Schwarzenegger! 🙄 Patrick, son of the Governator and Maria Shriver, has apparently been blessed with the acting gene (or maybe just the connections gene 🤷‍♀️) and landed a role in something since that “buzzy” (their words, not mine) White Lotus thing. You know, the one where he played a “douchey jock” – typecasting at its finest, am I right? 😂

Our boy P-Schwarzy (can I call him that?) is going to grace the screen alongside Margaret Qualley in Love of Your Life, a romantic drama from Amazon MGM Studios. Because what the world really needs is another weepy love story featuring people we’re only mildly interested in. 😴

This project is supposedly “hot” because it’s being directed by Rachel Morrison, who once pointed a camera at Black Panther. And get this: Ryan Gosling and his buddy Jessie Henderson are producing! Because when I think “indie, groundbreaking cinema,” I immediately think “Ryan Gosling.” 🤣

The script, penned by Julia Cox (Nyad – yeah, I haven’t seen it either), is about a woman (Qualley) who loses her husband and decides to go on a “journey.” Groundbreaking stuff, people. Prepare to be emotionally moved… or maybe just bored. 🤷‍♂️

Schwarzenegger will be playing an “old friend and ex.” So, basically, he’ll be flexing his acting muscles by… standing there and looking vaguely attractive? 🤔

Sources (aka the studio’s PR department) say they’ll be filming in Europe in August. So, expect lots of Instagram posts of beautiful scenery and carefully curated “candid” shots of the cast looking pensive. 🙄

And here’s the kicker: it’s a nepo baby bonanza! Qualley is the daughter of Andie MacDowell. So, two trust fund kids, a director who held a camera once, and Gosling’s producing credit? This is either going to be the greatest movie ever made or a complete dumpster fire. 🔥

Schwarzenegger has been “building” his career for years, apparently. He was Tim Tebow in some Ryan Murphy thing (because Ryan Murphy hasn’t already exhausted every possible storyline 🙄), and he popped up in The Staircase, The Terminal List, and Gen V. So, basically, he’s been doing the rounds of every streaming service known to humankind. 🤑

But it was his role as the “douchey jock” that really put him on the map. Because apparently, playing a stereotype is the key to success in Hollywood. Who knew? 🤷‍♀️

The role opened doors, people! He almost got to act opposite Natalie Portman (but didn’t, because, you know, talent). And he turned down Street Fighter! Because apparently, he’s too good for video game adaptations. 💅

He’s repped by the usual suspects: UTA, Entertainment 360, and Goodman Genow. Because even nepo babies need agents and lawyers. 🤷‍♂️
