Tom Tiffany (R-WI), who clearly didn’t get the memo that Wisconsin is now a swing state full of Karens and kombucha, told CNN he’s running for governor because “I can do more good as a chief executive.” Translation: “I’d rather fight one Karen with a latte than 435 Karens with subpoenas.” Meanwhile, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), who spent two decades in Congress building a résumé longer than a CVS receipt, declared that Congress has become “toxic” and “demonizing.” McCaul, who once chaired Homeland Security, apparently didn’t realize that being demonized is part of the job description for anyone who disagrees with the woke mob.
The GOP exodus, which some are calling “The Great Escape 2026,” is being blamed on everything from gridlock to “security threats” from the radical left. One anonymous lawmaker, presumably hiding under a desk in fear of a critical tweet, said Washington “sucks a lot of life out of you.” No kidding, Sherlock. That’s what happens when you spend your days fighting a Democratic Party that’s run by a coalition of Silicon Valley billionaires, Hollywood elites, and the ghost of Karl Marx.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, who’s apparently the only Republican left who still believes in the American Dream, insisted the GOP will “win” the 2026 midterms because they have a “great record.” Great record? They passed one bill and spent the rest of the year arguing over whether to rename a post office after a hamster. Meanwhile, the Democrats are busy implementing their agenda of open borders, defunding the police, and mandating that every child be taught critical race theory in kindergarten.
The real story here is the Left’s master plan to turn every state into a socialist utopia. By convincing Republicans to abandon their posts in Congress, the deep state hopes to create a vacuum that can be filled by progressive governors who will then implement policies like universal healthcare, renewable energy mandates, and free college for illegal immigrants.
